Discovering Saint-Germain-en-Laye means discovering the history of France. We will start from the Tourist Office to enter the Castle Park, former residence of the kings of France. Built around 1124 at the request of King Louis VI the Fat, various kings participated in its construction. The castle saw the birth of the Sun King, Louis XIV.

We will walk along the ramparts to admire the magnificent view of the Seine basin and in the distance the buildings of the La Défense district. We will cross a part of the park, in order to contemplate the very pretty facade of the castle and its French garden laid out by the famous gardener Le Nôtre.

We will then head towards the heart of St Germain-en-Laye to stroll through its small streets and shops or if you wish we can make a gourmet stop at the oldest pastry shop in St Germain-en-Laye, the Grandin pastry shop founded in 1822.
For the soccer fans we will pass by the training center of the famous soccer club, PSG.

Impressionist tour in Chatou / Le Vésinet

During this pretty walk we will pass on the island of the Impressionists, the Town hall, the station, the quays of the Seine then we will skirt the railroad by the avenue Maurice Berteaux to join Le Vésinet, we will cross then the Boulevard Carnot to join the Upper Lake and to go towards the Heights of Chatou, we will pass in front of the municipal technical center, the fire department to go down again then towards the quays of the Seine.

Depending on the duration of the Tour the route will be extended to Le Vésinet.

Pick up : Parc des Ibis

Our walk will start at the Parc des Ibis and go to the Lac de la Station and then to the Allée du Lac Inférieur where we will admire the beautiful houses of Le Vésinet. We will continue our walk towards the Lac de Croissy, Route de la Croix, and then we will go to the Avenue d’Alsace in order to go to the City Center where we will walk around the Place de l’Eglise. Finally, we will go to the Boulevard des Etats Unis to go up the Avenue du Belloy. We will finish our beautiful stroll by going down the Avenue du Grand Veneur to find the Parc des Ibis.
